Day 3 was rainy and cold. Still, the trees continued to be felled and chipped. Police and Security Guards, and also Council staff and hangers-on outnumbered protesters by 10 to 1 throughout the day. There were some public concerns workers were risking injury or even death, due to the extreme weather, but Workcover seemed happy with timberworkers using cherrypickers instead of harnasses.
